Meet the Man Who Turned Down the World Series for the Blog Business Summit

by Teresa Valdez Klein on October 26, 2006

One of our attendees just came up to me and asked whether or not there would be a television at the cocktail reception. I was confused until I remembered that the World Series is being played as we speak. I’m usually a huge baseball fan, but right now the only thing I care about is getting this conference over and done with successfully.

Anyway, I came to learn that he actually had tickets to the World Series, but he came to the Blog Business Summit instead because, well, we rule.

That made me feel all warm and fuzzy inside.

Hey I turned down tickets to the World Series to come to the conference too, except, um, I never had any interest in getting the tickets in the first place. I don’t even know who’s playing. But I know who’s talking at the Summit! :-)

That “Man” is me and as a displaced (New York) Cardinals fan I am doing a rain dance (no place better than Seattle, eh?) so I might have the chance to fly to STL this weekend - Go Cards! PS - Teresa: This is an excellent event!
