Clean HTML is Best for Search Engine Optimization
The Hyper Dog Blog has a great post about the top nine SEO mistakes designers make when building sites. The general gist: search bots don’t index Java or Flash very well, so your site should rely primarily on nice, clean HTML.

Thanks for visiting our blog, and we agree - blogs, especially wordpress, are wonderfully clean HTML!
Hi,
yes, i agree, there are some common mistakes that are often repeated. But clean and clear code is a pre-requisite.

Clean or dirty html has no effect on Google. Period.
What makes you say that?
Because it simply doesn’t Teresa. You can see poorly coded websites ranking great everyday for millions of queries.
The three pillars still remain the most powerful:
1. Content
2. Architecture
3. Back links
The original article on was about web design techniques that google doesn’t index, or doesn’t index well. It talks about some of the architectural problems of sites with Flash navigation and other little tricks. The point is that web designers need to make sure their sites can be surfed by our little friend the googlebot.
