Liz Strauss Wants to Know…

by Teresa Valdez Klein on August 30, 2007

Our good buddy Liz Strauss is asking some very worthwhile questions about blogging for business. She’s working on a series of posts about what she calls “inside out thinking,” that we are very much looking forward to.

We encourage you all to go post your responses.

This is an interesting question and I guess it really depends upon how focused you are on what makes your business money. As a blogger who makes part of my income directly from my blog, I’d have to say I’m very focused on issues ranging from traffic to content but if my blog were only something I used to promote my business I guess I wouldn’t be. There are, of course, shades of gray here. If I owned a bricks and mortar retailer with some on line sales supported by a blog which constantly kept buyers updated on new offerings at my store and my on line sales represented only 20 percent of my total income I think I would focus less than if I had an on line store with traffic driven by my blog representing 100 percent of my income.
